UGHS Art Department is proud to share some great news! Two of our students have been recognized and won awards in this year's Regional U.S. Congressional Art Competition! Grace Nelson and Libby Kalbas both tied for Second Place. The judges noted that although a tie is highly unusual, it speaks to the strength of both works. This is a great accomplishment! Both students were recognized at a ceremony by Brian Steil on Saturday, April 30th. Congressman Steil liked both works so much, he requested them to be hung in his personal Congressional Office. We are proud that Grace and Libby have represented the art department and our entire community in so many positive ways.
