This past Saturday UGHS senior, Mehlia Michna, won first place in the District 1 Congressional Art Competition with her colored pencil drawing titled, A Representation of Me. Her artwork will hang in the United States Capitol Building for a year. In June, she will travel to Washington DC for another awards ceremony. The Art Department is very proud and excited for Mehlia as she is a well deserving, extremely dedicated and a hard working artist.
