These 13 students completed all the requirements to receive their Assistant Childcare Teacher Certification this term! They volunteered in classrooms, completed multiple professional development trainings, and showed proficiency in 11 different skills needed to work with young children in order to receive their certification!

So excited to share the news that our Boys Soccer team is the WIAA Div. 2 State Champs! They won 1-0 against West DePere today! This is the first time in UGHS history a boys team has won a State Championship. We would love to see the community come out to the high school south lot sidewalks to welcome them back around 4:30-4:45pm today.
The first day of Girls basketball tryouts are Mon., Nov. 6th from 3 - 5:30pm. Girls will need to have a practice permit to tryout. There is NO SCHOOL Monday so permits need to be picked up from the office on Fri., Nov. 3.
Come on out and pack those stands for our Boys Soccer team in the State final tomorrow Sat., Nov. 4th at 1:30pm vs. West DePere at Uihlein Soccer Park. If you ordered a State Volleyball or Soccer shirt, those shirts will be distributed by the main office tomorrow morning (Thursday 11/2) before school 6:45 - 7:30am and again between 1st and 2nd hour.

Seven students attended the HOSA (Future Health Care Professionals) Fall Leadership Conference on October 26 at UW-Milwaukee. They had the opportunity to hear presentations about various health care occupations in the context of a fictitious train derailment, and attend a breakout session to select competitive events. It was a great kickoff to "HOSA season" and we are looking forward to chapter and state meetings.

Bring in canned/non-perishable food items to school next week, Nov. 6-10. On Nov. 10, the bus will be filled and donated items taken to Ground Zero Food Pantry for veterans.

Kyle Luedtke, Class of 1987!
Kyle was recently named Superintendent of the Year by the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance. He is in his 13th year as the Sevastopol School District superintendent. He has served the last 30 years working in public education.

The boys soccer team is headed to state for the first time in school history after a shocking, late 3-2 win over Greendale last Saturday.
