We are proud of several clubs and sports this week:
Several HOSA members have advanced to State in their health science competitive events: Lia Vasiliadis, Trista Meteyard, Sam Antonneau, Alaina Prochniak, Hasreet Gill, and Caitlyn Opansky! The State competition is held in April. Good luck!
The Cheer team has been successful recently, they not only placed first at two different competitions, they earned a full paid spot for the cheer nationals competition in WI Dells in March. Awesome job girls!
Congratulations to Reese Spafford and Maria Obieglo for qualifying for State after last weekend’s competition. Way to go girls!

🏆👏🏼 Huge congratulations to Kaleb Gloeckler for winning the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award! Kaleb is a sophomore and owner of KG Lawn Care. This award is proof of his hard work and dedication in building his business.
When not hitting the gridiron he can be found tackling overgrown lawns, clearing
snow covered driveways or maintaining someone’s landscape. He continues to grow his client list, the number of staff members and his fleet of mowers and equipment. We look forward to watching this young man grow as a successful entrepreneur.
Kaleb was presented the award at the Greater Union Grove Chamber of Commerce gala last Saturday from our CTE Coordinator, Mr. Wetzel who is on the chamber's board of directors.

Two DECA students, Olivia Bushey & Mallory Dam, planned a career panel all about "Women In Business". The event, which took place last week featured local women who had advice and inspiration for the student who attended. 📈👩💼💼

🎭 Alice is back! Following a sold out run of their fall performance of Alice in Wonderland, students of Union Grove High School will bring Alice back to the stage as a part of the Racine Children's Theatre programming. Since 1933, the Racine Children’s Theatre (RCT) has been introducing generations of kids to the magic of live theatre, affectionately known as “Packy Plays.”
Students in the production will perform the show seven times over the course of three days, where they will bring live theatre to over 3,000 community members. There are 38 students involved in bringing Alice back to life in a new space. Students will use the same script, costumes, set pieces, and hand-made puppets, designed by assistant director, Kim Sandberg. However, the entire production has been restaged to accommodate the different performance space at the Racine Theatre Guild. The unique space of the Guild provides a new opportunity for performers and tech to hone their craft in a space that is not their home-base theatre and explore how different venues function.
Students perform Alice in Wonderland at the Racine Theatre Guild (2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine) February 2, 3, and 4. Tickets and showtimes can be found on the Racine Theatre Guild website. Tickets are sold exclusively through the Racine Theatre Guild at racinetheatre.org
