Get ready, Union Grove! The UGHS Performing Arts Department is back with a hilarious twist on a classic: Once Upon a Mattress: The Almost True Story of the Princess and the Pea!
In this high-spirited musical, Prince Dauntless (Carter Nuciforo) is desperate to find a bride, Queen Aggravain (Maisy Martone) is determined to reject every candidate, and the kingdom is under a marriage lockdown until the “right” princess appears. Enter Princess Winnifred (Addison Lees): bold, hilarious, and nothing like the dainty royal they expected. When the Queen devises a secret test involving a tiny pea, “Fred” takes on the challenge with confidence, chaos, and a whole lot of charm. Our cast and crew of over 75 students brings this classic tale to life with modern humor, beautiful costumes, and outstanding singing and dance!
