25-26 Theater Performances

UGHS is excited to announce their 2025-2026 season. Union Grove Performing Arts will present three mainstage productions this year. Tickets will go on sale for all events on August 4th. The spring musical at UGHS has sold out for the last 5 years in a row. Do not miss your opportunity to catch all the fun happening in the performing arts department.

FALL MUSICAL: BEETLEJUICE JR - NOVEMBER 7 and 8 - THREE SHOWS ONLY

The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice, the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved Tim Burton motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.

SPRING MUSICAL - ONCE UPON A MATTRESS - MARCH 6, 7, 13, 14 - FIVE SHOWS ONLY

The beloved 1959 classic comes to life, casting its spell over Union Grove with its zany brand of fairytale fun. Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. That is, until the “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, showed up. Would she be able to pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince and help Lady Larken and Sir Harry to the altar? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, this rollicking spin on the classic tale The Princess and the Pea provides side-splitting shenanigans. For after all, a princess is a delicate thing.

BONUS SHOW: PETER PAN: A LIVE RADIO PLAY - APRIL 17 and 18 - TWO SHOWS ONLY

One spring evening, the Darling children are visited by Peter Pan, the boy who wouldn't grow up. They fly to Neverland on an epic adventure, including the splashy fun in the Mermaid Lagoon and the climactic clash with the deadly Captain Hook. Yes, it's the story you know and love presented in the style of the 1940s radio broadcast shows. Students will perform as multiple characters and create the sounds of Neverland inside their "LIVE" broadcast studio in this adaptation perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
